Deloitte is seeking an experienced Senior IT Audit professional to join its Audit & Assurance practice in Kuwait for FY27. This opportunity is suitable for candidates with strong expertise in IT risk assessment, technology controls, financial audit support, and information systems auditing.

The successful candidate will work closely with financial audit teams to assess technology-related risks, evaluate internal controls, and execute IT audit procedures across client engagements. The position requires technical auditing expertise, effective stakeholder communication, and the ability to manage multiple assignments while maintaining Deloitte’s professional and service quality standards.

The role offers exposure to diverse client environments, particularly within the Financial Services and Telecommunications sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Support engagement planning by understanding client business processes and identifying IT audit requirements in collaboration with financial audit teams.
• Determine appropriate audit procedures, including automated control testing, data analysis, and technology risk assessments.
• Prepare IT audit plans, budgets, and engagement timelines for review by the IT Audit Manager.
• Conduct IT audit fieldwork, including testing General IT Controls (ITGC), automated application controls, interface controls, and system-generated reports.
• Evaluate application, operating system, and database controls to identify potential technology-related risks.
• Perform risk mitigation procedures, including assessments of mitigating and compensating controls.
• Document audit findings, prepare reports, and communicate significant issues to client representatives and senior management.
• Manage multiple concurrent audit engagements across different industries while meeting agreed deadlines and quality expectations.
• Monitor engagement progress and provide regular status updates to Managers and Senior Managers.
• Maintain professional relationships with client management and personnel, ensuring clear communication and effective expectation management.
• Deliver audit services in accordance with Deloitte policies, applicable professional standards, and established engagement procedures.
• Demonstrate accountability, support team collaboration, and contribute to continuous professional development and service improvement.

Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Computer, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience in professional services, external IT audit, or internal IT audit, preferably within Financial Services or Telecommunications.
• Strong understanding of IT auditing methodologies, technology risk assessment, and computer control environments.
• Practical experience testing General IT Controls across enterprise applications, operating systems, and databases.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate automated application controls, interface controls, and system-generated reports.
• Sound knowledge of business processes within Financial Services or Telecommunications, including their associated technology risks and control requirements.
• Experience identifying control weaknesses and conducting risk mitigation assessments, including testing compensating and mitigating controls.
• Ability to independently plan and coordinate audit fieldwork while ensuring deliverables meet engagement requirements and deadlines Jobs in Kuwait.
• Strong analytical and research capabilities, with a general understanding of data analysis techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and senior stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment gulf jobs.

• Fluency in English is essential. Candidates proficient in both Arabic and English will be preferred.
• CISA certification or another relevant professional qualification is considered an advantage.
