Job Overview

Marsh is seeking an early-career Analyst – Data Science to support data-driven business transformation and process improvement initiatives across India, the Middle East, and Africa. Key Responsibilities

• Understand business requirements and identify opportunities where data and technology can improve existing processes.
• Collect, extract, organize, and analyze information from different sources to support business objectives.
• Apply analytical and modelling techniques to identify useful patterns, trends, and insights.
• Develop and enhance analytical tools using technologies such as Python, Stream lit, Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
• Assist with the design and delivery of practical automation and data-driven solutions.
• Translate business requirements into clear technical and analytical approaches.
• Support the development of solutions from initial concept through testing, implementation, and improvement.
• Work with AI-based tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity and business processes.
• Support the use of AI tools such as Claude Co-work and assist colleagues with adoption or knowledge sharing when required.
• Prepare analysis, reports, dashboards, and other materials that help stakeholders understand business performance.
• Work collaboratively with teams across India, the Middle East, and Africa.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail across analytical work and deliverables.
• Contribute ideas for improving processes, tools, reporting, and overall operational efficiency.
• Develop a growing understanding of the organization, its business functions, and the insurance industry.
• Continue building technical, analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management capabilities.

Technical Skills, Qualifications & Competencies

• 0–2 years of experience in data science, data analytics, business analytics, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of data extraction and the ability to work with information from different document formats and sources.
• Hands-on knowledge of Python, preferably including Python Streamlit for developing analytical applications.
• Familiarity with Natural Language Processing (NLP) concepts and basic NLP workflows.
• Fundamental understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and their potential business applications.
• Intermediate-level Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to organize, analyze, and work with business data.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Exposure to Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate is advantageous.
• Familiarity with AI tools, automation technologies, dashboarding, or data visualization platforms will be an added advantage.
• Experience developing analytical tools or contributing to an end-to-end data or technology project is desirable.
• Strong analytical thinking and practical problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work.
• Curious and proactive approach with a willingness to explore new technologies and methods.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to understand stakeholder requirements and gradually develop strong stakeholder-management capabilities.
