Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and enhance scalable software applications using modern engineering methodologies.
• Build backend services and application components using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and related technologies.
• Translate functional and technical requirements into reliable software solutions.
• Contribute to the development of innovative digital products supporting trading activities.
• Develop solutions capable of integrating effectively with large-scale enterprise technology environments.
• Work with messaging and distributed technologies, including Apache Kafka and distributed caching platforms.
• Maintain high standards for software security, stability, scalability, performance, and operational reliability.
• Investigate and resolve high-priority application issues and support the deployment of production fixes.
• Take part in all stages of the software development lifecycle, including the design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing improvement of solutions.
• Produce clear technical documentation and architecture materials to support maintainable software solutions.
• Apply appropriate software design patterns and distributed-system principles to complex development challenges.
• Contribute to automation, engineering efficiency, software quality, and improvements across the development lifecycle.
• Explore and apply AI-assisted and agentic engineering approaches to improve development productivity and solution delivery.
• Work closely with global IT teams, business representatives, and other technical specialists.
• Take ownership of assigned features and contribute to their successful delivery within agreed timelines AI engineering.
• Support the ongoing enhancement of applications used by international wealth management and trading teams.

Technical Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and server-side development.
• Experience with Kotlin is an advantage.
• Practical knowledge of Apache Kafka and distributed caching technologies such as Apache Ignite, Hazel cast, or Coherence Java Backend Developer.
• Proven ability to develop secure, reliable, scalable, and maintainable applications within complex enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud hosting, application security, distributed systems, software architecture, and modern design patterns.
• Ability to prepare technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, UML models, and sequence diagrams.
• Proficiency with React, TypeScript, and Web Socket technologies, including STOMP or Socket.io.
• Familiarity with test-driven development, behavior-driven development, automation, and modern software quality practices.
• Experience using GitHub Copilot, Copilot Chat, or comparable AI-assisted development tools is beneficial.
• Previous experience in the financial services or FinTech sector is preferred.
• Exposure to electronic trading, securities trading, order management, or trading platforms will be an advantage.
• Interest in financial markets and willingness to develop a deeper understanding of trading workflows and related business processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities with excellent attention to detail.
• Comfortable working with distributed systems, complex applications, and data-intensive environments.
• Ability to take ownership of technical features and deliver solutions with appropriate guidance from senior engineering leads.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with international and cross-functional teams.
