Job Overview:

A company in Doha, Qatar is seeking an experienced Consultant – Bid Management to manage the end-to-end bid management process for IT Managed Services opportunities.

The role involves tender analysis, bid planning, technical and commercial proposal development, presales support, proposal documentation, SLA and KPI requirements, service delivery models, and coordination with internal teams and partners.

The ideal candidate should have 8–10 years of overall IT or technology experience, including at least 4 years of bid management experience within Managed Services. Experience across ITSM, Service Desk, Cloud and Infrastructure, SOC/NOC, Application Managed Services, and IT Outsourcing is required.

The position also requires the ability to prepare professional proposals and technical documentation in both Arabic and English.

Key Responsibilities:
Bid Management

• Manage the complete bid management lifecycle, including qualification, bid planning, response structuring, content development, reviews, and submission.
• Create organized tender summaries to aid in the bid/no-bid decision-making process.
• Review key tender requirements and evaluation criteria.
• Identify competitive advantages and differentiators.
• Document risks, mitigation measures, assumptions, and dependencies.
• Review pricing and payment terms.
• Identify compliance requirements and potential red flags.

IT Managed Services Proposals

• Prepare technical and commercial proposals for IT Managed Services, including:
  • Service Desk
  • Cloud
  • Infrastructure
  • SOC/NOC
  • Security
  • Application Managed Services
• Develop comprehensive bid content covering:
  • Scope of Work (SoW)
  • Solution descriptions
  • Service delivery models
  • Transition plans
  • Assumptions and constraints
  • Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Commercials
  • Team profiles
  • References
  • Success stories
• Clearly define, bundle, and showcase Managed Services services in documents that are ready for both customers and sales.
• Develop proposals for Master Framework Agreements (MFA) in the Managed Services environment, including modular pricing, scalable service catalogs, and flexible engagement models.

SLA & KPI Requirements

• Ensure proposals and contracts clearly define Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and penalties or rewards models.
• Review, negotiate, and prepare SLA requirements for contracts and RFP responses.
• Ensure service models and proposal content are aligned with customer requirements and organizational capabilities.

Proposal Documentation & Presentations

• Prepare proposals and technical documentation in both Arabic and English, ensuring clarity, compliance, and effective communication.
• Produce professional diagrams and visual materials representing technical architectures, service models, processes, and delivery approaches.
• Design and deliver technical presentations and sales pitch decks for executives, business stakeholders, and technical teams.
• Develop and maintain sales collateral, proposal templates, and reusable bid content to support an efficient proposal process.

Presales & Stakeholder Coordination

• Support presales activities by preparing solution presentations and conducting requirements-gathering workshops.
• Support solutioning teams during the proposal and bid process.
• Collaborate with delivery, operations, finance, and legal teams to ensure compliance and alignment with organizational capabilities.
• Conduct bid reviews and prepare bid briefs.
• Manage workshare agreements with internal stakeholders and partners.

Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement

• Implement quality assurance processes to review proposals for consistency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement in the bid management process by incorporating lessons learned and industry best practices.
• Stay informed about Managed Services market trends and competitor offerings to strengthen proposal positioning.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 8–10 years of overall IT/Technology experience.
• At least 4 years of dedicated bid management experience in Managed Services, including areas such as:
  • Service Desk
  • ITSM
  • Cloud/Infrastructure
  • SOC/NOC
  • Application Services
  • IT Outsourcing
• Experience with Tier-1 and Tier-2 IT service providers such as TCS, Wipro, HCL, Infosys, Capgemini, IBM, DXC, Atos, or NTT Data is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of Managed Services delivery models, including Service Desk, ITSM, SOC/NOC, Cloud & Infrastructure, Application Managed Services, and IT Outsourcing.
• Proven experience preparing proposals, commercial models, service transition plans, SLA-based operating models, and Managed Services offerings.
• Demonstrated experience reviewing, negotiating, and writing SLA requirements for contracts and RFP responses.
• Previous involvement in developing and submitting proposals for Master Framework Agreements (MFA) is highly desired.
• Familiarity with IT governance and frameworks such as:
  • ITIL
  • COBIT
  • ISO 20000
  • ISO 27001
  • Cloud adoption frameworks
