Information Security Manager Full Time

Job Overview

An organization in the UAE is looking for an experienced Information Security Manager to lead information security governance, risk management, regulatory compliance, and security initiatives within its technology environment.

The position is particularly focused on organizations operating in or supporting the banking and financial services sector, where strong security controls and regulatory alignment are essential. The successful candidate will work across IT, business, risk, audit, compliance, PMO, and external stakeholder groups to manage security requirements and support the protection of technology environments.

A strong understanding of UAE IA/NESA requirements, security governance, risk assessments, regulatory controls, and security assurance activities is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Information Security Governance

• Develop, maintain, and periodically review information security policies, standards, procedures, controls, and risk registers.
• Establish appropriate security governance practices across technology and business environments.
• Conduct or coordinate information security risk assessments and document identified risks, controls, exceptions, and treatment plans.
• Monitor compliance with approved security policies and organizational control requirements Information Security Jobs UAE.
• Ensure information security practices are aligned with applicable UAE IA/NESA requirements and relevant regulatory expectations.
• Support continuous improvement of the organization’s security governance and control framework.

Risk, Compliance & Assessments

• Ability to manage and coordinate security compliance activities involving PCI DSS, SWIFT CSP, VAPT, regulatory assessments, and security reviews.
• Should work with internal teams and external assessors during audits, reviews, and compliance assessments.
• Track identified security and compliance gaps and coordinate appropriate remediation activities.
• Able to maintain visibility of open audit findings, risks, exceptions, and corrective actions until closure.
• Support regulatory and security documentation requirements for banking and financial technology environments.
• To review security controls and provide recommendations where improvements are required.

Security Leadership & Project Support

• Serve as the information security lead for major technology, cloud, digital, infrastructure, and application projects.
• Review project designs and requirements from an information security and risk perspective.
• Identify security risks during project planning, implementation, and operational stages.
• Provide security guidance to technical and business teams while ensuring project requirements remain aligned with organizational standards.
• Manage multiple security, governance, compliance, and regulatory initiatives simultaneously  .
• Coordinate security activities with IT, Business, Risk, Audit, Compliance, PMO, vendors, and other external stakeholders.
• Promote security awareness and encourage the integration of security requirements into business and technology processes.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security, or a related field.
• 10–12 years of relevant Information Security or Cyber Security experience.
• Proven experience in information security within banking, financial services, or another highly regulated environment.
• Previous experience at a Manager-level information security position with responsibility for governance, risk, compliance, and security initiatives.
• Strong understanding of Information Security Governance, GRC, risk management, security policies, controls, and regulatory compliance.
• Practical experience implementing and assessing UAE IA/NESA requirements.
• Knowledge of information security risk assessment methodologies and security control frameworks.
• Experience with PCI DSS, SWIFT CSP, VAPT, security assessments, audits, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Ability to evaluate security requirements across cloud, infrastructure, applications, digital platforms, and technology projects.
• Strong understanding of security risk identification, documentation, treatment, monitoring, and remediation.
• Relevant professional certification such as CISM, CRISC, CISA, or CISSP is required or preferred based on organizational requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to evaluate complex security and compliance matters.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain information security requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder-management skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across IT, business, risk, audit, compliance, and external teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and security initiatives while maintaining attention to regulatory and organizational requirements.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills for policies, risk assessments, audit findings, compliance activities, and management reporting.
• A proactive approach to identifying information security risks and supporting practical remediation measures.
